All new patients begin with either an Acupuncture Consultation or a Functional Medicine Consultation before scheduling treatment or follow-up appointments. This comprehensive visit allows Dr. Iona to review your health history, discuss your concerns and goals, and develop a personalized plan for your care.

Dr. Michelle Iona DACM, L.Ac.

Dr. Michelle N. Iona, DACM, L.Ac., is a board-certified acupuncturist, clinical herbalist, and functional medicine practitioner with over 25 years of experience. As the founder of Healing Points Acupuncture & Wellness Center, she combines acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, functional medicine, clinical nutrition, and Frequency Specific Microcurrent to help patients with women’s health, fertility, digestive concerns, chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, and complex health concerns.

Dr. Iona is licensed in New York and Florida and is nationally board-certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine through the NCCAOM. She is also an Institute for Functional Medicine practitioner with advanced training in Frequency Specific Microcurrent, cosmetic acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, and NADA detoxification.

Known for her investigative yet compassionate approach, Dr. Iona takes the time to listen and consider how the body’s systems may be influencing one another. She creates personalized care plans based on each patient’s history, symptoms, needs, and health goals.

Dr. Iona believes that patients deserve to feel heard and understood. By integrating the wisdom of Chinese medicine with modern functional medicine, nutrition, and evidence-informed therapies, she works to uncover factors that may be contributing to symptoms while supporting the body’s natural capacity to heal.
